Dear Cedars, Maples, Birches, Alders, Cottonwoods and More,

We love you and we are grateful for the thousands of years of growth you cumulatively and collectively represent. We are utterly disappointed and disgusted that Ian Anderson and Prime Minister Trudeau would engineer political systems to cut down so many of you at the very time when we need more forests, not less. They are acting as though they are in denial about the climate crisis, and criminally, it is their grandkids who will pay for their terrible mistake.

We pray that they come to their senses before it is too late for you and your grandchildren, as well as ours.

Thank you for all the fresh air and shelter you offer the birds and us. You are priceless and many of us who live near you understand this.
